Dr. Kate O'Leary joins the Institute for Reproductive Health

Kate M. O’Leary, MD, MS, FACOG
Dr. Kate O’Leary is double-board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford University.
After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. O’Leary earned her MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she cultivated her interest in women’s health.
Dr. O’Leary completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) at Lackland Air Force Base—earning awards for both academic and clinical excellence, including Outstanding Chief Resident, Commander’s Award for Housestaff Scientific Research, and Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award.
While completing her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford University, Dr. O’Leary was also awarded and completed a fellowship in Health Care Research and Policy. The additional fellowship allowed Dr. O’Leary to earn a Master of Science degree in Health Services Research from Stanford University, which combined her skills in reproductive medicine with cost analysis research.
Dr. O’Leary is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI).
Dr. O’Leary joins IRH in July 2018 after separating from the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel and Chair of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division of the 88th Surgical Operations Squadron at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. While there, Dr. O’Leary also served as the Medical Director of the Women’s Health Clinic and the REI Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General. In addition, Dr. O’Leary founded and led the first support group for women and their families undergoing infertility treatment at Wright-Patterson AFB.
Dr. O’Leary is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at both the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, where she participated in infertility research and taught OB/GYN residents and medical students.
Dr. O’Leary has a special interest in recurrent pregnancy loss and fertility preservation and is dedicated to providing compassionate, personal care to her patients as well as supporting the physical, nutritional, and emotional well-being of her patients.
