2015 IRH Baby Reunion

The 2015 IRH Baby Reunion was a big success! Over 1,900 IRH "graduates" and their children celebrated with our staff at the Cincinnati Zoo on October 4, 2015. Our patients have worked incredibly hard to achieve their dreams after overcoming infertility.
“Infertility is a common disease affecting 10% of tristate couples. In Vitro Fertilization is the most complex and demanding of all therapies. IRH is celebrating the birth of more than 8,000 babies which is a triumph of technology and endurance for these couples. “We would like to give hope to those who are still struggling with this disease”, said Dr. Sherif Awadalla, medical director of the Institute for Reproductive Health. “This is a time to come together as a community to support these parents, to understand their challenges and to recognize those who have successfully resolved their infertility”, said Dr. Michael Scheiber, director of research at the Institute for Reproductive Health.
The Institute for Reproductive Health is the area’s largest provider of infertility treatment. The center staff includes doctors, nurses, laboratory personnel and a psychologist. The center utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to provide comprehensive care for the infertile patient. “The goal of our center is to provide highly technical care in an environment which is warm and personal”, said Dr. Thomas Burwinkel, of the Institute for Reproductive Health. This celebration is also for the tireless staff, which provides patient services 7 days a week.
“Too often we focus on the sadness, the physical pain and the feelings of loss associated with infertility treatment. Today we are here to acknowledge the realities of the infertility experience while also celebrating the many families built through effective treatment here at the Institute”, said Dr. Awadalla. “We want to take a moment to think about the importance of family and the miracle of children. It is likely that infertility may have affected you or someone near you. Consider the importance of family to you and to the many who struggle with infertility”, said Dr. Michael Scheiber.
The Institute for Reproductive Health is one of America’s largest and most experienced infertility clinics, with offices in Hyde Park, West Chester, and Florence, Ky. The IRH truly serves the entire Tri State. The Institute is a full service fertility center, providing basic and advanced treatment such a tubal micro-surgery, laser surgery, IVF, GIFT, ICSI and embryo cryo-preservation. The Institute with its multidisciplinary staff is involved in education, and research, as well as patient care.
